The Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business is convened by the Asia-Pacific Committee of German Business and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, with the German chambers of commerce abroad. The 19th conference met in Seoul from 29 to 31 October 2026 and brought together leaders of German and Asia-Pacific business and government, including ministers of both countries and Roland Busch, chief executive of Siemens and chair of the Asia-Pacific Committee.
Fabian Hoffmann travelled as one of about fifteen members of the German-Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce’s delegation from Australia. Before the conference opened, the delegation was received at the Australian Embassy in Seoul for a political briefing by Jeffrey Robinson, Australia’s Ambassador to the Republic of Korea. It was then briefed on Korean law and market entry by the Seoul law firm Kim & Chang, and on the German-Australian relationship by Beate Grzeski, Germany’s Ambassador to Australia.
At the conference the delegation took Australia’s seat at the Chamber network’s business lunch for Japan, Australia and New Zealand, where defence, mining and the free trade agreements were discussed with the Ambassador and the heads of the chambers.
Boettcher Law is a Platinum Partner of the German-Australian Chamber.
